This website is full of Blitz Sports Network archives and A.I. content featuring sports talk, wrestling talk, and entertainment talk. The world knows us for our Michael Jordan videos, old wrestling reviews (John Cena rants LOL), and some found interest in other sports & entertainment talk as well. Lightning was caught in a bottle here, and you can re-watch it today.

Some have asked, what happened to Bruce Blitz? Nothing. Bruce was a lucky podcaster who was able to discuss topics of interest in front of basketball fans, wrestling fans, combat sports fans, football fans, and entertainment fans... since 2005. It doesn't get any cooler than building your own sports network, I mean, that's fairy tale stuff people normally only dream of. So, guys, nothing lasts forever, but what we had here truly was special. Bruce retired from podcasting because it was just... time. It was time. The video projects continue thanks to A.I. technology, but 2 decades is a long time and we sure did make a bunch of fun memories together!! It was time to turn the page.

Question: I heard that years ago Bruce stated that his wrestling rants were promos. Why did Bruce say his wrestling rants were "just promos"?

Answer: When Bruce infamously said the review rants were "just promos," he wasn’t dismissing them as fake or meaningless. Those rants stemmed from his genuine opinions, but the delivery was amplified for entertainment, dialing up the intensity for dramatic effect. Over time, the rants became a recurring feature because the audience kept demanding more. Bruce leaned into them because that’s what a segment of his viewers wanted or even expected, but calling them "just promos" was his way of managing expectations and acknowledging the performative side of content creation. He made that statement during a moment of frustration, at a time when he was feeling burnt out like never before. It’s something he later regretted because, without further explanation, it left people wondering, "Was he faking everything else too?" The answer is no, the logic behind the rants was authentic, even if the presentation was heightened. Since that statement, the intensity of our content has calmed down a bit, but that’s the full context behind his words. Bruce was just giving a pro wrestling audience exactly what they craved: the same intensity that drew them to wrestling in the first place, so that’s exactly what he wanted to deliver for his supporters (who often left comments while waiting for the stream to begin like "what is Bruce ranting about this week"? This became the expectation for Bruce, from many viewers.) Content creators exaggerate reactions, spin parts of a story causing drama, and lean into over-the-top personas, standard entertainment strategies, all shrugged off as "just part of the show." Bruce's rants were no different, they were worked shoots except he decided to reveal the reality of this type of content creation to his viewers, with some form of post-game kayfabe acknowledgement to clarify what some already knew: They were promos. And he was done cutting promos. That was the message of frustration.
